What are the Mesothelioma Cancer Symptoms and Diagnosis Options Available?
What are the symptoms of mesothelioma cancer
and diagnosis for treatments?
Mesothelioma cancer is very hard to diagnose and sometimes it can take many
years to experience the symptoms (sometimes 30 years later or more).
However, some people have no symptoms of their cancer. Also, mesothelioma
symptoms can often be confused with other minor illnesses, such as shortness
of breath, cough that won't go away, pain in the chest, muscle weakness and
sensory loss, pain or swelling in the abdomen, coughing up blood, fever,
major weight loss, and difficult swallowing. If you experience symptoms and
you are working or exposed to the areas of of the professions mentioned
above, you should have your doctor conduct an x-ray of the chest or abdomen.
Once Mesothelioma is
diagnosed, the chances of recovery vary according to
several factors, including the size and location of the tumor, how much it
has spread, and the age of the patient.
In general, the earlier that Mesothelioma is diagnosed, the better the
chances of survival. So if you experience any of the common Mesothelioma
symptoms, see your doctor right away.
